# 06 – Load Board (publish loads, carrier bids, approved bids)

Tested in the QA company, as company admin and as the QA carrier · Pages: Load Board List, Add Post Shipment, Truck Availability, Carrier Bids, Approved Bids, and the carrier's Load Board page

## Works fine

- All five admin pages open.
- Approved quote #393 → **Send to Load Board** puts it in the Load Board List (status Pending). **Bid Limit** saves. **Publish** asks "for how many days" (10) and says "Load request published successfully for 10 days" → status **Published**, and it appears under **Carrier Bids**.
- The carrier logs in, sees the published load (with the company name) and can **Add Quote**. Empty amount → "This field is required"; too-high amount → "The bid amount cannot exceed the final price"; a valid bid → "Bid placed successfully!".
- The admin sees the bid under **View Bids**, approves it with a confirmation ("Bid approved successfully!") and it shows under **Approved Bids**.

## Issues

| # | Sev | What the user experiences | Steps | Evidence |
|---|-----|---------------------------|-------|----------|
| L1 | Medium | **A saved Post Shipment seems to vanish.** After "Add Post Shipment" the page returns to the normal Load Board List, which does not show it (posted shipments sit behind a separate switch button on that page). The message also says "**Quotation** created successfully!". | Add Post Shipment → Create → look at the list | `screens/lb_list_data.png`, `screens/lb_posted_shipments.png` |
| L2 | Medium | **Carrier sees the customer's price and the company's Bid Limit is ignored.** The carrier's "Add Quote" window shows "Final Price for this Request: 1,000" and rejects any bid above it; the Bid Limit the company set (1,500) has no effect. Please confirm which is intended – and whether carriers should see the customer price at all. | Set Bid Limit 1500 → carrier bids 1200 | `screens/carrier_add_quote.png`, `screens/carrier_bid_over_limit.png` |
| L3 | Medium | **Approving a bid is hidden.** In "View Bids" the Action menu only offers *Delete*; the red **"Pending"** label is the Approve button. | Carrier Bids → View Bids | `screens/lb_view_bids.png` |
| L4 | Low | A carrier's **second bid on the same load gives no message** and nothing happens; after bidding, the carrier's list still shows "Add Quote". | Carrier → Add Quote twice | – |
| L5 | Low | **Negative bid amount (-50) gives no message.** Saving an empty Bid Limit also closes silently, and saving a Bid Limit shows no confirmation. | Carrier bid -50 · Bid Limit → Save | – |
| L6 | Low | **Send to Load Board has no confirmation or success message** – the quote is just there afterwards. | Approved list → Action → Send to Load Board | – |
| L7 | Low | **Approved Bids shows N/A** in several columns (names) and the load stays "Published" on the Load Board after its bid is approved. | After approving a bid, open Approved Bids / Load Board List | `screens/lb_approved_bids.png` |
| L8 | Low | Script errors / missing script on these pages (`classList` of null, `DataTable is not a function` on Add Post Shipment) and the carrier pages call the FMCSA site from the browser and fail. | Open the pages, look at the console | – |

## Not tested (and why)

- **Truck Availability** – the list is empty; trucks are added by the carrier (Carrier portal module).
- Deleting loads/bids (data kept on purpose), bids from several carriers, the 10-day expiry, un-publishing, the Load Request PDF contents.

## Test data left in the QA company

- Load **#393** – Published, Bid Limit 1,500, with **approved bid #84** (900, QA Carrier One).
- Post Shipments **#394 and #395** – Pending, not published (two were created because my first attempt also saved).
